Born October 13, 1934 in Bulloch County, Mr. Sparks was the son of the late C. B. Sparks and Bessie Aileen Wood Sparks. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Sparks Buckner; and one step-daughter, Debbie Cox Hand. Before retiring, he worked as a security officer for the State of Florida and he was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Tifton. He also was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Sparks is survived by his wife, Emma “Jean” Whitley Cox Sparks of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law; two step-sons and their wives; ten grandchildren and their spouses; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
