Funeral services for Mr. Aaron Coney, Sr., of Rentz, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1 PM at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Georgia 19 Hwy South, Dublin, Reverend Horace L. Austin, Jr., will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Aaron Coney, Sr., was born to the late Arthur Jim Henry Coney and Bertha Boston-Coney in Laurens County, Georgia, on Monday, December 10, 1928. Aaron worked as a Truck Driver for Cochran Brothers in Dublin, Georgia. He met and married the late Annie Ruth Coney. He loved to farm, and he loved his family.
He departed this life on Friday, December 9, 2022. Aaron was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth; two brothers, Wilson Coney, Sr., and Ura Coney; and three sisters, Janet Reid, Lugene Coney-Smith, and Nancy Bell Coney.
