Dorothy was born on November 6, 1936 in Rockbridge County, VA to the late Charlie Beverly and Nettie Burley Cash.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her late husbands, G. Lee Boatwright and Donald Biggerstaff; and her brother, Junior Beverly.
She is survived by her four loving children, two brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a special niece.
She is also survived by her third loving husband and his children.
Dorothy considered Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale, NC to be her "other family" and treasured her time there.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home in Apex with Pastor Mick Bowen to officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Burial service will follow the funeral at Apex Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Lee Readling with Transitions LifeCare for the tireless care she showed Dorothy throughout her journey with hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Dorothy's name be made to Transitions LifeCare, or to Faith Baptist Church.
