Donald Gene Biggerstaff Raleigh Donald Gene Biggerstaff, 79, of Raleigh passed away on April 18, 2012. He was born to Leo Rogene and Lola (Bolin) Biggerstaff in Oklahoma City, OK on August 25, 1932. Donald is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Boatwright of Raleigh, NC; daughters Merry Lynne Biggerstaff of New York State and Patricia Lynne Brehant of New York State, Gloria Plato (Kevin) of Apex, NC, Deborah King of Apex NC and two sons Ronnie Beverly of Apex NC, and Larry Lipscomb (Marty) of Madison Heights VA, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brothers, Lewis Ray Biggerstaff of Kansas City, KS, Roger Biggerstaff of Oklahoma City, OK and Kenneth Biggerstaff of Texas. He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4) after serving in both the Vietnam and Korean War. He then taught Computer Science and was the Chairman of the Computer Science Department at Fayetteville Technical Community College. He also taught at Webster University. Don was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale, NC. Family will receive visitors at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2012. A Funeral Service will begin immediately following at 2:00 pm. A private cremation ceremony will follow at a later time.
