Thomas Nathaniel Goltry, one of the pioneers of Rawles, died last Friday evening at his home in that township, of infirmaties incident to old age. His age was 81 years, 4 months, 11 days and he had been failing rapidly the past year. The funeral was held from the home on Saturday and burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Center Township. He was born in N. Y. State and moved to Iowa in 1852 settling in Lucas County. He resided there for about 10 years and then moved to Mills County which has been his home ever since. There are 7 children besides the widow: Jacob, Charles, John and Frank at and near Glenwood, Sherman, North Platte, Nebr., Mrs. Sarah Utterback, Hanford, Calif., Mrs. Emma Moss of Council Bluffs. Those from a distance were unable to come to the funeral.
