Harold Barnes, 81, passed away on Monday morning at Smithfield Manor Rehab surrounded by his loving family.
Harold was born in Johnston County on March 3, 1934 to the late Simon Peter and Renda Hales Barnes. He was devoted to his church, served as a deacon, president of the Sunday school class, and was involved in many activities where he utilized his gifts and abilities to share the love of God. Harold also was a member of the original Kenly Lions Club and served on the Kenly School Board.
Holly Springs Church Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vollis Reed Barnes, Kenneth Barnes, Billy Barnes, and Worth Barnes.
