Frances June Malicote, age 100 of Hamilton, OH on December 1, 2022 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on July 13, 1922, in Chavies, KY, the daughter of Taylor and Mae (Whitaker) Napier. She attended Buckhorn High School and Anderson College. In 1941, she came to Hamilton and met William Hubert Malicote at Ross Ave. Church of God. They were married in 1943 and remained faithful members of the Ross Ave. (now Eaton Rd. Church of God) congregation for over 80 years, where she served for many years as Sunday school teacher and choir director. June worked in a Hamilton factory, building torpedo parts, supporting the war effort during WWII, then returned to her work as a homemaker, raising 3 children whom she is survived by – son, Sam (Sue) Malicote, and daughters, Jo Elaine (Dale Robertson) Malicote and Theresa Gay (Jim) McBride, as well as 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also worked for several years at Pillsbury and Woolco Department Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pauline Davidson, brother Howard Glenn Napier, 2 great-grandchildren, and her beloved husband, Hubert, who passed just hours before she did. As her children and grandchildren will attest, she could make a four course meal from a jar of green beans, process a deer for freezer meat, and sew a formal dress, all in a day's work. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and supported each of them in their passions - hunting and the outdoors for son Sam, horses for daughter Jo, and music for daughter Theresa. To her grandchildren, her kitchen table was always open, and no one ever went home without a meal, a hug, and some wisdom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Eaton Road Church of God from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eaton Road Church of God, 2000 Eaton Rd, Hamilton, OH 45013 or Oxford Caroline Scott Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, 4252 Waterfront Ct, Fairfield, Ohio 45013.
