He was born on October 8, 1939, one of six boys to Clifton and Florence (Jeness) Clark in Alfred. He attended Sanford Schools and graduated from Sanford High School.
On October 7, 1961, he married Sally Ricker and together they shared 56 years of marriage.
Richard spent his career at Cyro Industries in Sanford where he retired after 44 years and 4 months.
He liked to pass the time by puttering around his house and yard. He enjoyed gardening, being outside and fishing.
One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandson Emerson. They spent as much time as they could together and had a special bond.
Richard was a quick-witted, no-nonsense man. He had many skills and could fix anything. He was also a kind, gentle soul, a great listener, storyteller and always willing to help.
He lived a good life, raised two very successful boys and will not be forgotten.
He is predeceased by his wife Sally Clark (2017), recently a son Jonathan Clark (2022), and two brothers, Buddy and Tom Clark.
