He was born July 10, 1910 in Venice, Utah, the 12th of 12 children, to Florence Wilson and Charles William Cowley Sr.
He married Clarice Georgia Smith,
September 1, 1935 in Richfield, they later divorced.
He married Ardell Johnson, June 21, 1944 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was employed by Kansas City Life and worked in the automotive sales. He loved horses and horse racing and spent many years of enjoyment with his friends from all over the country. He especially enjoyed his time with the "Genealogy Club" at the Days Inn.
His dogs were a great enjoyment. He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman and had a great love for the outdoors.
He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was always interested in their activities and visiting with them.
MB is survived by his wife, Ardell of Richfield; daughter, Dixie (Bill) Dalton; son, Robert M (Sharon) Cowley, both of Elsinore; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter pending; brother, Dr. Allen (Norma) Cowley of Naples, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents and 13 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 1999 at 1 p.m. in the Venice LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
