ANTLERS, Okla. --- R. N. "Newt" Hooser {Note: The Gazette must have made gotten his name wrong. Everything I've found has Newton Hickman Hooser was his name}, 67, of Clayton, Pushmataha county commissioner, died unexpectedly late Thursday, while in Wilburton.

The funeral was held Monday in the school building at Tuskahoma, Coffey Funeral Home here having charge of arrangements.

Hooser, resident of Clayton since 1910, leaves his wife, Helen, and these children: R. D. Hooser, Tuskahoma; Ernest Hooser, Eagletown; Hickman Hooser, San Diego, Calif.; John A. Hooser, Lenopah, Okla., and Mrs. Ernestine Hunkipillar, Durant; 10 grandchildren and five brothers and sisters.
