Rosemary Gurulé García, passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 80.
Rosemary was lovingly known as "Mama Rose" and "Auntie Rosie" to her close family members and her Home Health Care team and doctors.
Rosemary was born in May and loved the fact that her birthstone was an Emerald.
Rosemary is survived by her special "Bro", brother-in-law, Eddie S. García, her "daughter\niece", Linda García Benavídes (Gilbert), her special nieces, Loretta (Luvin) Contreras, Dolores (Noel) Schlachter, Christina (Martín) Nuanes and Patsy (Bruce) Gottschalk, sisters-in-law, Dora Moya, Francela Mari and Connie Reed and brother-in-law, Hignio García. Rosemary was also blessed with so many other nieces and nephews. Rosemary was blessed with her special friends, Josie Contreras and Josie Martínez, her "primas", Victoria and Priscilla García, Mine' Seniye and Beth Sánchez, her best friend. Rosemary had her "adopted" grandchildren, Nicolas (Maggie) Benavídes, Elena (Cole) Sweetser and Alysse (Kyle) Houliston and her "adopted great-grandchildren", Poppy Rae, Kian Eddie and Lalito. They loved her with all of their hearts.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Serafin "Sam" García, her parents, Nicolas T. Gurulé and Guadalupe L. Gurulé, and by all of her siblings, sisters, Christina Baca, Della García, Dulcie Silvas, Annie García and Daisy Nuanes, brothers, Luciano Gurulé, Frank Gurulé, Epifano Gurulé, Johnny Gurulé and Patricio Gurulé and so many other family members that passed away.
Rosemary missed and loved her dog in Heaven, "Poopsie".
Rosemary lived a happy life filled with such love, joy and laughter. Rosemary loved going to family gatherings and looked forward to the weekend BBQs, weekly dinners, holidays and just getting together. Rosemary loved to dance, loved music and an occasional Margarita or Mojito.
Rosemary loved going to the casino to play Keno, but once COVID hit, she couldn't go anymore and really missed it. Rosemary was always involved in helping at church activities and loved to volunteer at various functions. Rosemary loved going out to eat at different restaurants, but her favorite was food was enchiladas, tostadas and BBQ.
Rosemary loved to dance and grew up dancing with many of her nieces and cousins. At home, she'd have the radio on full blast dancing by herself.
Rosemary sure missed her husband, Sam when he passed away and was devastated when she lost her sisters and brothers. But she was lifted up by her family members and many good friends and she was never alone. Rosemary spent a lot of quality time with her "daughter\niece," Linda and the family. Rosemary was a loving, joyful and generous person. Rosemary was never selfish and always thought of others. Rosemary loved her family with all of her heart.
When she got diagnosed with cancer, she took it in stride and was very polite to her Legacy Home Health caretakers at home and at the cancer center. Rosemary would take them a surprise for every treatment. Her favorite snack during her treatments was Cheetos! Rosemary had good days, and bad days, but never lost her sense of happiness and love. Rosemary was well taken care of by her nurses, Patsy and Amanda, her caretakers, her loving family, loving neighbors, friends and her special nieces and nephews.
Rosemary lived a happy life in her home which she loved. It was everything she wanted. Rosemary was truly a angel here on earth but obviously God needed another angel and called her to her home in heaven.
Rosemary is now happy and joyful. Rosemary is no longer sick and is with her husband, Sam, her sister, Della and all of her siblings. They waited for her with open arms. Rosemary will continue to watch over all of us.
Don't be sad for her, be happy with her. Rosemary lived a good life.
