Minerva M. Case was born on February 3, 1845, in Illinois to Mary E. Adsit, age 22, and Ephraim Case, age 26. She had two brothers, George and Edgar, and three sisters, Ida, Sara and Emma. Her mother Mary died in 1854 when Minnie was only 9 years old. She married Edwin A. Fountain on December 28, 1861, in Kane, Illinois. Sadly he was killed while fighting in the American Civil War in 1863. She then married Abiel P. Dexter on January 30, 1871. I have not found a divorce record, but while Minnie stayed in Illinois, Abiel moved to Colorado and got married again in 1881. I haven't found records of Minnie having any children from either marriage.

This is not the same person as grave #196933430. Minnie was Mrs. Dexter at the time of her death, and lived in Illinois.
