Lucy E. Requa, dau. of George Requa and Mary Harmon Austin, b. July 29, 1844 in Bates County, MO. She d. Apr. 20, 1907, age 62, in Ardmore, then part of Chickasaw Indian Nation territory, two months before Oklahoma statehood in June 1907. Lucy's parents were members of the original missionary families at Union Mission (1820-37) and Harmony Mission (1821-36) to the Osage Indians in what was then Osage Indian Territory, now eastern Oklahoma and southwest Missouri, respectively.

On Sept. 12, 1866 in Bates County, MO, Lucy was married by her missionary uncle, Rev. William Comb Requa, to David Redfield, youngest child of Abraham Redfield and Phebe Beach, b. Jan. 15, 1842 in Bates County, MO. He d. at Ardmore, OK Sept. 17, 1919, age 77. David's parents were also members of the original missionary family to Union Mission at present-day Mayes County, Oklahoma.

Lucy and David had two known children who are outlined in their father's memorial.
