Arlene was the beloved wife of the late Harold N. "Jack" Cornay. She was the daughter of the late Louis C. Davis, Jr. and Freda Stuck Davis. Arlene was preceded in death by her sister Charlotte Goodwin (Lawrence), brothers John Anthony Davis, and James William Davis and is survived by brothers Robert James Davis and Louis C. Davis, III (Cherita), and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored her. Survivors also include her step-daughter Shannon Cornay Claudio (John), their son Jackson, and stepson Joe Cornay (Leslie). During her final days, Arlene was lovingly cared for by her brother Robert, her niece Christine Goodwin and cousin Tanya Saacks.
Arlene graduated from Warren Easton High School where she was voted wittiest. She attended UNO graduating with a degree in marketing. She made many dear friends during these years including Anna Gentry, Carol Fournet, Carolyn Jacobs and many more – too numerous to mention.
She began her career at Dixie Forms and Web Offset Printing Company, followed by Expressions Custom Furniture, and finally Singer Kitchens. At each, Arlene was a valuable and successful asset and developed many lasting friendships with fellow employees.
Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, December 4th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leitz Eagan, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie LA 70006.
