She was the widow the late Frank Fuller Gilkerson and had made her home with her daughter since his death six years ago.
Mrs. Gilkerson had enjoyed good health until months ago, when she suffered fracture of the hip. Since that time she has been an invalid and about a week ago her condition became critical.
She had been a member ot the Mossy Creek Presbyterian Church for 28 or 30 years.
She was a daughter of the late James and Polly Ann Crowe and was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. George Thacker, Grottoes; Mrs. E. T. Knicely and Miss Emma Gilkerson, Harrisonburg; and Mrs. S. E. Thacker, Mossy Creek. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren are also among the surviving.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
