MULLINS - Lynn Owens Bessetti, 66, widow of Thomas Joseph Bessetti passed away peacefully and was called home by the Lord surrounded by family at McLeod Hospice House on the morning of November 9th, 2022. Lynn was born in Mullins on February 24, 1956, daughter to the late Daniel Owens and the late Margaret Morris.
Lynn was a graduate of Mullins High School and was a faithful supporter of the sports teams of the High School. She retired from Loris McLeod Health. She was a very faithful member of Gapway Baptist Church where she absolutely adored her church family and served for many years as a Sunday School teacher of all ages and served on numerous committees as she tried to faithfully serve her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She truly loved her family and aimed to do everything she could for them without hesitation.
Surviving Lynn is a son, Matt Bessetti (Crissy) of Mullins; a brother Mitchell Owens (Terry) of Florence; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Lynn was predeceased by her husband Thomas Bessetti; son, Jimmy Paul Hooks; and two brothers, Joe Owens and Danny Owens, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at Gapway Baptist Church Saturday afternoon, November 11th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Stephen D. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Cox-Collins Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time.
