Evanka Beovich
May 21, 1929 - Oct. 30, 2022

Evanka went peacefully onto her heavenly journey surrounded by her family. In her own words she passed due to "old age".

She was born in Gata, Yugoslavia to Ivan and Sime Covic.

Evanka and her five siblings were orphaned in 1942 during the Gata Massacre.

Upon returning to Gata to visit his family, Blazo Beovich met his soul mate, Evanka and they were married. She immigrated to the United States in 1954 to begin her new life on "the farm", where she thrived in her new environment.

Blazo died in a farm accident and Evanka became a young widow after only 12 years of a blissful marriage, left to raise four children. Her goals were to earn a living, provide for her children and maintain the farm. She had nimble fingers and could produce more flats of berries than anyone who tried to outperform her.

In 1969 she began her career at Tektronix who benefited from her quick fingers and work ethic where she continuously beat records in building circuit boards. While working she still continued to take care of her cows, chickens, and an assortment of other animals. Her four children were immersed in learning farming skills and sharing their Croatian heritage.

She is survived by her children, Cathy (David) Jenney, Louie Beovich, Tillie (Nick) Moulazimis, and Marie (Andy) Archambault; 7 grandchildren; Christina (Kevin) Pollack, Jennie (Trevor) Kriesel, Wes Archambault, John Moulazimis, Alex (Jessica) Moulazimis, Anthony Moulazimis, Natalya (Jotham) Illuminati all who were the light of her life.

There was a special place in her heart for all of nieces and nephews in Croatia.

On November 14th at 10:30 there will be a viewing and a rosary, prior to the Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X, Catholic Church, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Reception following at The Moulazimis residence 10471 NW Skyline Blvd. Portland, OR 97231.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude's.~~~Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel obituary
