She was the widow of the late Willis I. Leary, a former farmer of the New Hope area, and who died in 1946. She was born in New Lexington, north of West Alexandria, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Hunter) Dolphin.
Mrs. Leary was one of the oldest pupils of the Dooley school and her Sunday School attendance was at the old Friendship Church. She became a member of the New Hope United Brethren church in 1893 and maintained it until the time of her death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glenna O'Hara of Berea, and Mrs. Marie Price of R.R. 2, Eaton; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Leary were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home in Eaton with Rev. Harry Sinks of Potsdam, Ohio and Rev. John E. Halderman of New Hope officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery.
