A verdict of murder and suicide has been given in the deaths of an Eaton husband andwife, which occurred last Sunday aftenoon. Dead are Mrs. Juanita Hensley, 38. who was slain by a shotgun blast from her husband, Roy, 58. The Hensleys lived at 324 West Spring street, but had been separated for the last several weeks. After Hensley shot his wife fatally he turned the gun on himself. The joint verdict was issued by Dr. Robert Ferguson, deputy Preble county coroner. A son, Danny, 16, saw the shooting. He told police that his mother had been staying next door to the home with a cousin, Roberta Taylor. Another son, Jimmy, lives at Ocean City, California. The man said his mother came home Sunday to prepare dinner. It was his version that the father said: "If I can't have you, no one else will." Mr. and Mrs. Hensley were natives of Preble county and had lived at the Spring street address for the last six months Hensley was employed at the Civco-Wayne company, Richmond, and Mrs. Hensley at Inland Manufacturing division, Dayton.
Double funeral rites were conducted in the Barnes Funeral Home, Eaton, Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Mound Hill cemetery.
