JoAnn Phillips Miller passed away November 11, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. There will be a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Winston Memorial Cemetery.

JoAnn was born in Haleyville on December 23, 1935 to Lottie and "Joe" Forester. She spent her whole life in Haleyville and loved calling it her home town. She was an active member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville and was very active in the BPW organization and worked many years in management for Premdor before retiring. She started a second career selling BeautiControl cosmetics and loved helping women look and feel their best, as well as substitute teaching in many area schools. She had a heart for helping other. Mostly JoAnn loved her family, her brothers and their families, her children and their families, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lottie Forester and "Joe" Forester; her brother, William Forester; first husband, Jackie Phillips; and second husband, James Pounders.
