Mr. Heidel was born in Chicago to parents Charles and Martha Beck Heidel. He married May Margaret Fehr in 1917. They were blessed with one daughter, Arline May Heidel Toberman. George was a carpenter, contractor and building estimator. George and May were residents of Palos Park, IL, a southwestern suburb of Chicago, for many years, then retired to Florida. George died in Fort Pierce, Florida in 1970. Surviving included his beloved wife and daughter, son-in-law, three grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Lorenzen of Cedarborg, WI and Mrs. Etha Harris of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services were held at Tews Funeral Home in Homewood, IL with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
