Gloria was born in Eubank, Kentucky on July 22nd, 1947, daughter of the late Johnny Green Smith and Bessie Florence Ashley Smith. She worked as a beautician and was a member of the Floyd Switch Baptist Church.
Gloria was survived by her husband, Billy Dick; one son, Ronnie (and Carla) Dick; one daughter, Vanessa (and Junior) Haste; one sister, Laverne Whitter; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Green Smith, who departed this life on January 4th, 1991 and Bessie Florence Smith, who departed this life on October 29th, 2000; one son, David Wayne Dick, who departed this life on January 6th, 2013; three brothers, Claude Lee Smith, who departed this life on March 27th, 2016, Darrell Edward Smith, who departed this life on June 4th, 1983, and Lloyd Smith, who departed this life on November 20th, 2018; and four sisters, Mildred "Mem" Smith Warren, who departed this life on March 13th, 2017, Marcella Smith Blevins, who departed this life on March 31st, 2018, Grace Irene Smith Trevor, who departed this life on May 11th, 2015, and Sue Ann Smith Dick, who departed this life on February 26th, 2012.
Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
