Mrs. Ferdinand Ferguson
Mrs. Ferdinand Ferguson, 71, of 1902 Gunnison, died at 8.47 p.m. Monday in St. Mary's Hospital, following an illness of several weeks. She had been a resident of the area for 50 years.
Born Dorothea Elizabeth Bek, Feb. 17, 1904 in Cass County, Iowa, she spent , her childhood and attended schools at Winterset, Iowa.
She married Ferdinand Ferguson June 24, 1925 in Winterset. Ferguson for many years was part owner and operator of Bond Furniture in Grand Junction.
Her interests included sewing, needlepoint and gardening . She attended the Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Fairmont Community Club.
Survivors in addition to her husband include four daughters, Mrs. Dean Baldwin of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. George Ryan of Grand Junction, Mrs. Jack Strauss of Ontario, Ore., and Mrs. Ronald Kuhns of Colorado Springs , two sons, Marvin Ferguson of Encinitas, Calif., and Larry Ferguson of Cardiff. Calif.; two brothers, two sisters, and 17 grandchildren.
