He married Bernita Graff on October 6, 1956, in Garden City. She survives. He was a farmer and a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church, Carthage, Mo., and the Knights of Columbus in Garden City.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Shiela Ady of Millstadt, Ill.; two sons, Lionel George of Ingalls, Kan., and Larry George of Evergreen, Colo.; one sister, Dorlene Blodig of Atchison, Kan.; two brothers, Dorrell George of Phillipsburg, Kan., DelLoyde George of Bucklin, Kan.; and three grandchildren, Sheena Ady, Joshua George and Eliza George.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Tanji George, a sister, Deloyce George, a brother, Delmar George and a grandson, Elijah George.
The Funeral Mass was on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, Carthage, Mo. The body has been cremated. Interment will take place at a later date in Garden City.
