Dwight was a retired High School Teacher of 27 years at Simon Kenton. He was a UK alumni, loved fishing, had a passion for playing the guitar and listening to music, loved UK Basketball, football, Cincinnati Bengals and camping. Dwight was a lifetime member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a member of the Woodman of the World.
Dwight is survived by his wife Beverly Jo Rushing Searcy, one son, Morgan W. (Rachel Ann) Searcy, one daughter, Victoria J. (Charles) Block-Hyde, one brother, Dr. Timothy L. (Brenda) Searcy, one sister, Glo Rita (Jim) Sparks and four grandchildren, Joey, Chris, Dylan and Lincoln. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Pastor Doyle Searcy, Truett Searcy, and sister Gayle Williams.
Visitation and Funeral will be announced soon. Dr. Timothy Searcy will be officiating services and a private burial will take place at the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
