Rome – Frank M. Button 56, of 6969 Rome-Oriskany Road, Stanwix, was pronounced dead Tuesday a Rome City Hospital after being stricken in his car on South George Street. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born in Knoxboro and attended Rome schools. He married Helen McMinn in 1932 . She died. He married Ida Ingalls Knight in 1944. She died in 1959. Mr. Button was employed 35 years by Rome Cable Corp, as superintendent of the rubber covered department, retiring in 1969. President of the Stanwix Veterans and Men's Club. Survivors include a son, Robert F. of Providence; a daughter, Mrs. J. Thomas (Nancy C.) Reilly of Rome; two stepdaughters, Mrs. William L. (Julia) Lenio of Rome and Mrs. J. (Sally) Read of Oriskany; a stepson, Parker W. Knight of Northport and two sisters, Mrs. Watson (Justina) Fellows of Oneida, and Miss Anna E. Button of Rome. The funeral will be at 8:30 Friday from the Thomas A. Cox Funeral Home and at 9:30 from St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at the funeral home
