George Ft, Button, 69. of 122 Riverview Parkway S, died Friday in Rome Hospital after a long illness He was bom July 7, 1905 in Rome, a son of Charles and Anna Lutz Button. On Dec. 28,1940 he married the former Mary A. Fitzgerald Before his retirement in 1970, Mr. Button had been employed as a salesman at Revere Copper and Brass for many years. He was an avid sportsman and was active in youth activities for many years as a leader and counselor for the Boy Scouts. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Holy Name Society.
He was also a member of the Rome Chamber of Commerce Besides his wife, Mr Button leaves a son, Charles Button, Albany; two sisters, Miss Anna Button, Rome, and Mrs Watson lJustina) Fellows, Oneida; and a brother, Frank M. Button, Rome, and several nieces and nephews The funeral will be at 8 30 a.m. Monday at the Griffin and Aldridge Funeral Home and at 9 am at St Mary's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are from 7 to 9 tonight,
