Wanda Lee Sophia Balfour, age 91, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Wanda was born on September 14, 1928 in Garber, Oklahoma to the late Arthur Henry and Alma Eleanor Meier. After she graduated high school, she married Leon Eugene Balfour.
Wanda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She loved playing cards, reading, traveling and dancing with her husband, Leon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Wanda is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Eugene Balfour; parents, Arthur Henry and Alma Eleanor Meier; and grandchildren, Christa Hillebrand and Michael Hillebrand.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., also at the church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
