Ross - Sidlo Exchange Vows

Arrangements of fall flowers and candelabra provided the background for the wedding of Miss Parthena Ross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Ross of Guide Rock, Neb., to Duaine Lee Sidlo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sidlo of Red Cloud, on Sunday, Oct. 1. The double ring service was solemnized at 2 o'clock in the Inavale Methodist Church by Rev. J. Willard Scott of Red Cloud.

Mrs. Marge Blankenbaker was pianist and accompanied Mrs. Glenda Arterburn of Red Cloud as she sang "Because" and "Bless This House."

Attending the bride was Miss Linda Noller of Ebson as maid of Honor. Her gown was of nylon net over taffeta in a purple tone. She wore a black velvet hat with circle veils and white gloves.

Lloyd McCartney, wearing dark trousers and white sports coat, was bestman. Seating the guests were Daryle Foutz of Northbranch and Douglas Diesley of Inavale. They were attired in dark suits.

Sherita Blakenbaker (sic) and the little Diesley boy lighted the tapers.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a street-length gown of lace and satin with a rounding neckline. The bodice and tapered sleeves were of lace over satin. A bridal clip of pearls held her circular veil which was elbow-length. She carried a lovely white Bible topped with a white orchid arrangement. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls, a gift of the groom.

Receiving the gifts were Mrs. Nellie Andersn (sic) of Red Cloud.

The mother of the bride wore a light green fall dress with green and white accessories. The mother of the groom wore a dark blue dress with white accessories. They wore corsages of white carnations.

Mrs. Maxine Wilson, Mrs. Myra Kuglar and Mrs. Ruth Blankenbaker were hostesses at the reception. Wedding cake and coffee were served. Mrs. Max Foutz of Northbranch made the lovely tiered wedding cake.

The bride is a graduate of the Guide Rock High School and the groom a graduate of the Red Cloud High School. The groom is employed in construction work.

The couple will be at home in Red Cloud.
