MRS J M BAKER OF OTTAWA DEAD

Mrs. Iva Mae Baker, 67, wife of James M. Baker, 617 S. Poplar, died early today at Ransom Memorial hospital. She had been in failing health several years, and seriously ill two weeks. She was moved to the hospital a week ago.

Iva Mae Mulvany was born in Centerville, Ia. February 2 (1), 1876, daughter of Mark and Hannah (Browning) Mulvany. She was married to Mr.. Baker July 17, 1894 at Glenwood, Ia. The family had lived in Franklin county 28 years, coming here from Douglas county.

Surviving are the husband, five children, Edgar J. Baker and Mrs. D.H. Sheffield, Ottawa; Charles R. Baker, Osawatomie; Mrs. Walter Lassen, Overbrook; and Mrs. Melvin McClelland, Lawrence; 12 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. (Minnie) Anna Snethen, Ottawa.

The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at lamb funeral home. Rev. E. L. Torrence of Trinity Methodist church will officiate with interment in Stony Point cemetery, Douglas county.
