Susie Erie HIlton, "Miss Hilton" to us, was our first grade teacher at Eugene Cole R-V School, 1952-53. Interestingly, Mrs. Hilton's son, William Samuel Hilton, "Mr. Hilton" to us, was our 8th grade teacher at the same school in the 1959-60 school year. It was likely his first year out of college. Mid-year, he was moved to the high school and we had a substitute, Mrs. Naomi Spalding, for the rest of the year. We remember and honor them both! Eugene Cole R-V High School, Class of 1964.
