Obituary: Longtime Sanford, Colo. resident Frances Holman, 99, died Feb. 2, 2008 at the Conejos County Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
Frances was born Jan. 17, 1909 in Taos, N.M. to George and Grace Souther Vandiver. She married Joseph Everette Holman in Idaho.
Frances was a Homemaker. She loved cooking for her grandchildren, and researching her family history and genealogy. Her hobbies were drawing and embroidery.
She was cared for by her grandson and his wife Clinton and Sybil Tucker for many years.
Frances is survived by her son Harvey Lee Holman of La Jara; her sister Irene Smith of Manassa, Colo.; eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren.
Her parents, her son George W. Tucker, her daughter Bessie Holman, her sister Pauline Vassos, grandson Keith Tucker and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 6, 2008 at the Sanford Cemetery.
