Ann was born 11 March 1960 to Jack 2022 T. and Ruth Moyes Higginson. She grew up in Roy, Utah and graduated from Roy High School. First and foremost, she passionately loved her family. Her happy place was being with them. And her family definitely loved her! She also loved to travel with her family and see new places.
She was humble and kind. That's not just a lyric to a song; that's who she was without even trying. She was always soft spoken and never wanted to be the center of attention. She was truly beautiful inside and out.
Ann loved the outdoors whether it was a 6 mile walk, a bike ride or hike, or tending to her garden.
She fervently believed in social justice, and it was hard for her to imagine there was such injustice in this world.
She was more talented and intelligent than she would ever admit. Ann had an artist's eye for photography and decorating. She was a great cook making healthy and delicious vegan meals.
She was always willing to learn new things. Ann learned how to speak Spanish studying in classes locally and with pen pals throughout the world. She volunteered in Ogden elementary schools. Her plans in the future were to help Spanish speaking people with rides to their chemo treatments.
And she was ultimately so strong and courageous as she fought cancer so valiantly for her once healthy life over the past year and a half.
Ann is survived by her husband, Brad; children, Joel and Jenna; sisters, Lynn Jones (Kelly), Kay Veenema (Art), Sue Klimaj (Robert); brother Bruce Higginson (Tammy) and various nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
