Supreme Court Justice. After being born Shoshana Shenburg in 1923 her family immigrated to Palestine in 1924. She became an assistant prosecutor for the Israel Air Force. During this time period she worked at two different law firms, S. Horowitz and Friedman and Komisar. She was appointed a judge on the Magistrates Court in Haifa in 1969 and served as a Haifa District Court judge, 1974 until 1981. From 1981 until 1993 she became the 2nd female to set on the Supreme Court of Israel. After retiring from the Supreme Court she became a lecturer at the University of Haifa from 1993 until 1998 and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1993 until 2002. She was made an honorary citizen of Jerusalem in 2002. She received the Women's League for Conservative Judaism award in 1993. She was married and together they had 2 children.
