She was united in marriage to Edd Washam on February 12, 1950, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. They spent sixty-nine wonderful years together.
She is survived by her three children Tessie Jean Harper of Los Angeles, California, Anna DeShazo and husband, Bruce of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Edwin Washam of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Lindsey Wiseman and husband, Brad of Salem, Arkansas, Brittani VanWinkle and husband, Larmon of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Kevin DeShazo and wife, Megan of Edmond, Oklahoma; seven great-grandchildren Gabe, Maggie, Daniel, Noah, Abigail, Barrett, and Asher; she was a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews, especially Eugene and Judy along with Dale and Ann Washam, and other relatives and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Washam; parents Gleora and Lenzy; sister Mildred Sutherland; three brothers Lloyd, Boyd, and Floyd Langston, and her niece, Joyce Keirn.
Rosemary was a lifelong member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ. Along with her husband, Edd, they owned and operated Washam Hardware. She was an active member of the community and supported clubs and school activities for 65 years.
Rosemary will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, grandma, mamaw, and a friend to many.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Miracle Network and Children's House in Paragould, Arkansas.
Funeral services for Rosemary Washam, age 91, of Salem, Arkansas, will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. before the funeral service.
Interment will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Riverside Cemetery, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
