Floyd Langston, 79, of Jonesboro passed from this life on March 25, 2016 at his home. He was born in French Town, Arkansas on March 13, 1937 to the late Lenzy and Gleora Frazier Langston. Floyd lived in Jonesboro since 1974, moving here from Harrison, Arkansas. He worked as an insurance adjuster for Shelter Insurance Co. and was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry White, brothers, Loyd and Boyd Langston and sister, Mildred Sutherland.

He leaves behind 2 daughters, Debra Langston (Sally Discenza) of Memphis, Tenn. and Shana South (Todd) of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Sister, Rosemary Washam of Mammoth Springs, Ar.

8 grandchildren, Amanda Hunt, Mark Stacy, Linzey Myers, Nicole Stacy, Joshua Langston, Jacob Langston, Courtney South and Dalton South. 3 great grandchildren, Alex Stacy, Dustin Hall and Ricklyn Myers.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Denton Kernodle and Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m on Monday March 28, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Dalton South, Anthony Hunt, Todd South, Joshua Langston, Jacob Langston, Mark Stacy and Brad Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be Courtney South, Alex Stacy, Dustin Hall and Ricklyn Myers.
