Shantel was preceded in death by her beloved father, Carlos Gilbert Abeyta Sr., beloved brother, Carlos Gilbert Abeyta Jr. and grandparents, Gilbert and Francis Gallegos.
Shantel is survived by her spouse of eleven years, Kenneth F. Medina Jr., mother, Gertrude D. Abeyta, sons, Kenneth F. Medina III and Jerome X. Medina, grandmother, Vera Abeyta, beloved cousin, Carlos Gilbert Abeyta III and numerous cousins, uncles, aunties and other family members that loved her.
Shantel was a gentle soul who loved life her family and her co-workers. Shantel adored her two boys and loved to catch butterflies.

Shantel's Life Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 3rd St. SW, Albuquerque, NM. Graveside services will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM.
