Obituary

William Kennedy Taylor, Jr (Billy), of McDonough, GA met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was 63. Billy was born in Atlanta, GA on July 08, 1959 to William K. Taylor, Sr. and Ruby Jo Dowdy Taylor.

Billy was quite the character, with a sense of humor second to none. He loved fishing and the outdoors. But above that he loved his family and especially his wife of 33 years, Christine. For years, he served as a volunteer minister of the Gospel and was ordained in the Congregational Holiness Church. Billy spent his working career in the building industry, mastering many of the trades. The accomplishment he was most proud of is the family he built with his precious Christine. They share 4 children together William Taylor, III, Bubba (Mandy) Hunley, Crystal (Robby) Stuart, Lisa (Derrick) Schmenk and
grandchildren Ozzy, Austin, Ashlyn, Christian, Storm, and Bailey.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Christie Lyne Taylor. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, he is survived by his sister Elizabeth (John) Mathis and brother John Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Billy's celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 23 at 11:00am with a graveside service at Honey Creek Woodlands, 2625 Hwy 212 SW, Conyers, GA. Reverend Steven Hedgecoth is officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Honey Creek Woodlands Benevolence Fund or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
