Edgar Eddie Manone passed away Tuesday January 1, 2008 at Danbury Hospital at the age of 69. Edar was born September 14, 1938 in Senigallia, Ancona, Italy, the son of the late Augusto and Clotilde (Barchesi) Manone . They immigrated to the United States in 1950, with his mom and sister to join his father. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years for Castro Convertible until they moved out of state, and then was employed by Al's Upholstery and was a loyal employee for the last 28 years. He was an avid NY Yankee and Giant fan and loved talking about sports in general. His zest for life was only surpassed by living it and was always the life of the party and there was not a face he couldn't put a smile on. He is survived by his two sons, David G. Manone of Victoria, Texas, Richard P. Manone of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter Donna Marie Strouse of Sierra Vista, AZ, a sister Aurora( Benincasa) Derwin, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Rino and Jerry Manone; and one sister, Ester La Cava. Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St. Danbury on Friday( Today) from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated at St. Peter Church Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
