Died February 22, 1897 at his home near Mendon, Mich., Samuel Anderson McClish, after a brief illness of but one week. He was born September 21, 1859, in Branch county, Mich.
His funeral was held last Wednesday at 2 o'clock, p.m. at Maple Grove school house. Rev. F. A. Stiles, of Fulton officiating. He leaves a wife, four children, his father and mother, five sisters and three brothers to mourn his loss. He was a kind husband, a good father, an obliging neighbor, a worthy citizen and an esteemed friend. He was an industrious and economical citizen and a good manager and had his home and farm almost paid for.
The afflicted ones have the sincere sympathy of their neighbors and friends in this hour of severe trial. Thus we are reminded of the brevity of human life. We point these sorrowing ones to Jesus, who is the widow's comfort and an ever present Friend to the fatherless.
