Rev. James Howard Nobles, age 79 of the Beaverdam Community, entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2022, at his home.

James Howard was born on August 13, 1943, son of the late Pearlie Nobles and Alene Duncan Andrews-Nobles. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Ralph Nobles, Billy Nobles, and Leo Nobles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Buddy Seay officiating. Interment will follow in the McPherson Cemetery.

The family will speak to friends from 2:00-2:45 p.m., prior to the service on Thursday, at the church.

Over the years, James Howard has served as the pastor of Macedonia Original Free Will Baptist Church, Mission Valley Original Free Will Baptist, and Oak Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.

James Howard leaves behind his wife, Ann N. Nobles of the home; two sons: Gregory S. Nobles (Joann), Andy Nobles, all of Chadbourn; granddaughter, Jennifer Edwards (Michael); great-grandchildren, Nathan Edwards, and Mason Edwards; sister, Linda Dinnes of Manning, SC.
