Billy Ray was born on December 22, 1938, in Columbus County, to the late Pearley and Alene Duncan Nobles. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Leo Nobles and Ralph Nobles.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Chadbourn Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor John McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the Wards Station Church of God Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45, prior to the service, at the church.
Billy was a Veteran, having served nobly in the United Sates Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Berry Scott Nobles of the home; children, Jimmy A. Berry of Nakina, Clarence Rouse (Susan) of Windell, Danny Ray Rouse (Roberta) of Chadbourn, Dennis Earl Rouse (Alison) of Cerro Gordo; brother, Rev. James Howard Nobles (Ann) of Chadbourn; sisters, Linda Kay Dennis of Manning, SC, Sophia Helt of Iverness, Florida; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
