STELLA ELIZABETH JAMISON CAMPBELL
Age 95, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 1995 at her residence. Stella was born on January 21, 1900, one of seven children born to David Lee Jamison and Mary Ellen Flora Jamison. Stella came to Okeechobee from Virginia in 1929 after having graduated from Bethany Seminary in Elgin, Ill. to teach school in Basinger, Florida. She retired in the early 1960's after having taught in the Okeechobee County School system for thirty years. She and her husband, the late Ernest Campbell traveled for a few years and then sold their home in Okeechobee and moved to Dunklin Memorial Camp where they both lived the rest of their days giving of themselves to work at the Camp and tirelessly serving others.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Maye -Evans and her husband, Mickey Evans of Indiantown, Fla.; brother, Levi Jamison of Boones Mill, Va.; sisters, Hester Wood of Boones Mill, Va., Eileen Adcock of Boones Mill, Va.; grandchildren, Clint -Evans and his wife Nancy of Fairbanks, Alaska, Dean Evans of Indiantown, Fla.; David Evans and his wife Chicky of Indiantown, Fla., Laura Lee Evans of Indiantown, Fla.; great grandchildren, Clinton Ira Evans, Jennifer Lynn Evans, Amanda Lee Evans, and Christopher Dean Evans.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 1995, Graveside at Basinger Cemetery , Okeechobee, Florida. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the BASS OKEECHOBEE FUNERAL HOME.
