JAMISON, Levi Edward, 97, of Route 1, Boones Mill, died Thursday, December 21, 1995 at his residence. Mr. Jamison was retired from the Roanoke City Fire Department as Captain with 25 years service. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wallace Jamison.
Survivors include his wife, Eulalia Bowman Jamison; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alma J. and Riner Hall, Nina J. and Raymond Hill, both of Roanoke; two step-daughters and one son-in-law, Doris B. Foster, Rocky Mount, Janie B. and Cornelius Flora, Boones Mill; six grandchildren including, H. Wayne Jamison, Wallace D. Jamison; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; six step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; three step great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hester J. Wood, Eileen J. Adcock, both of Boones Mill; special caregivers, Linda Divers and Carol Guilliams.
Funeral services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren, 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastors Gerald and Rebecca Baile Crouse officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Boones Mill Rescue Squad or the Boones Mill Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.Box 73, Boones Mill, Va. 24065. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va.
