James Camden Hamner, 79, of Sutton, passed away surrounded by loving family on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Braxton Memorial Hospital, Gassaway.
He was born January 5, 1943, in Sutton, WV to the late Alvie Burl & Lula Pearl Blankenship Hamner. Also preceding him in death are his sisters, Margaret Frick, Irene Beamer, Jo Ann Groff, Annamae Wolfgang, Beatrice Allen, Catherine Wade, Mary Harper; brothers, Burton Hamner, Jack Hamner.
James was a farmer and loved to deer hunt and loved his dog.
He is survived by his sisters, Alice Williams of Gassaway, Peggy Hamner of Newville. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with Rev. John McQuain officiating. Burial followed at the Newville Cemetery, Newville, WV. Friends called from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the funeral home.
