Funeral services for Henry Beacom Jones, 79, 139 South Rutan, whose death occurred Wednesday morning, will be held at the College Hill Methodist Episcopal Church Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Leslie Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery. The body may be viewed by friends at the home from 10 a.m. today until time for the services.
Mr. Jones, a retired capitalist, was born in Hardin Co. Ohio and came to Wichita 40 years ago. He was widely known here. His death occurred just a day after the arrival of a great granddaughter, Teresa Ann Lowery, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Robert M. Lowery, 4024 East Waterman.
Mr. Jones is survived by his widow, Conelia Catherine; a son, Dr. Arch Jones, 134 South Rutan; two sisters, Mrs Emma Miller and Mrs. Almira Dilley, both of Wichita; a grand daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Lowery and the great granddaughter. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral arrangements will be in charge of the Cochran-Hammond Funeral home.
