Sonna L. DeLois, 85, Avon, passed away on February 14, 2007. She was a 50 year resident of Plainfield before moving to Park Square Manor Avon in 2000. She was born on July 21, 1921 in Henning, Illinois to Roy and Florence Fairchild Battershell. She married Frank DeLois on January 22, 1944 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death in 1977. She worked for the Plainfield Community School Corporation for 20 Years and Cinergy for 10 years before retirement. Sonna was a member of Plainfield Eagles Lodge No. 3207, and The women's club at St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield. Survivors include her children, Frank DeLois, Jr. and his wife Diane, Tony DeLois and his wife Sherrie, Paul DeLois and his wife Jean, Roseann Spencer, Dennis DeLois, Jeanne Stanich and her husband Alan, and Danny DeLois; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. in St. Susanna Catholic Church with Father Kevin Morris officiating, where Sonna was a long time member. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery Plainfield. Calling hours will be Friday February 16, 2007 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home Plainfield.
