ALLEN, Bill - Passed away quietly on January 22, 2008 in his home in Cotati following a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna; children, Dana and Frank Allen, and his 14 year old granddaughter Alyssa. Born and raised in Oregon, he came to Marin County in 1963 where he met and married Donna in 1965. For the last 10 years Bill worked as a painter at Hertz Equipment Rental in Rohnert Park. Bill was an avid fisherman, known for his humor, and quick wit. He was a friend to all who met him and never turned down a friend in need. He will be deeply missed. The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to the angels at Hospice of Petaluma and especially to Sandy Flowers for her loving devotion to Bill and his family. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Friends are welcome to celebrate Bill's life with his family at their home in Cotati on Saturday, February 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 1451 Guerneville Rd., Ste. 220, Santa Rosa, CA 95403 in the hope that one day there will be a cure for lung cancer. Directors: PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma.
