Ira S. Gilpin, 59, 2016 Ross street, a resident here for the last 25 years, died Saturday night in his home following a two-month illness. Mr. Gilpin was born October 21, 1881, at Newcomerstown, O. For the last 30 years he was an advertising salesman for a Cedar Rapids pencil company and several other firms. He married Carrie Bray October 31, 1912, at Fayette, Ia. He was a member of the Whitfield Methodist church. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Dixon of San Antonio, Tex.; two brothers, J. D. Gilpin of Tracy, Minn., and J. S. Gilpin of Farmland, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. C. P. Thomas of Dillon, Mont., and Mrs. Sue Dunlap of Cadiz, O., and a grandson. The body was taken to White's funeral home.

Funeral services for Ira S. Gilpin, 59, 2016 Ross street, who died Saturday night in his house, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in White's chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Ira S. Gilpin, 59, 2016 Ross street, a resident here for the last 25 years, died Saturday night in his home following a two-month illness. Mr. Gilpin was born October 21, 1881, at Newcomerstown, O.
