Anna Maria Washington (1788-1816) married in 1810, her third cousin Capt. Reuben Thornton (1780-1815). They settled in Wilkinson County, Miss. Their sons were Dr. Churchill Jones (1811-45) who married in 1840, Lucy Maria Beverley (c1823-97); and Charles Augustine Thornton (1813-86) who married in 1839, Cornelia Virginia Randolph (1819-49).

Lt. George Augustine Washington (c1758-93) served in the Revolutionary War. He married in 1785, Frances Bassett (1767-96), daughter of Col. Burwell Bassett, of Eltham, New Kent County, Va. and niece of Martha Washington. Their four children were George Fayette (1787); Anna Maria (1788-1816); George Fayette (1790-1867) who married in 1813, Maria Frame (1793-1860), of Charles Town, [W.]Va.; and Charles Augustine Washington (1791-1811)(unm.) who died in Cadiz, Spain.
